Michaelle Pearson | Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate
Bio and Qualifications
I'm a volunteer archivist at the Old Lyme Historical Society, a silversmith and a member of the Lyme Artisans Guild; and I also teach jewelry classes. My work with the Shoreline Gateway Committee and Sound View Commission has led me to understand how Zoning can really make a difference for better or worse. I'd like to encourage sensible zoning strategies to eradicate blight and preserve the charm of our historic town. I also have a law degree and many years of experience of working with historic documents, surveys, and land records which will be useful as a ZBA alternate member. |

What’s your favorite place in Old Lyme?
My favorite place and favorite thing to in Old Lyme is swimming at the beach! I also love attending events at the Phoebe, Musical Masterworks, and FloGris. What is a "fun fact" about you?
I recently spent several weeks crafting a Faerie House out of shells, driftwood, slate, and sea glass for the Florence Griswold Museum's Wee Faerie Village. |
