  • Taught the sciences at St. Thomas Seminary at the High school and college level.  I became principal of the high school and the baseball coach.
  • Retired from teaching and became a commercial real estate broker in Hartford, CT
  • Venture Capital in Chicago and Monterey, CA
I have lived in Old Lyme for 76 years both as a summer resident and full time.  We reside at Old Lyme Shores. During my youth in Old Lyme I was a lifeguard at Haines Park and White Sand Beach.  Later I became a summer constable stationed at Sound View.  It was at White Sand Beach where I met my wife, Mary Kelly, over 60 years ago.
I became involved in Democratic political campaigns and fundraising.  Among the candidates  I worked with were Senator Al Gore for President, Clinton/Gore, Senator Chris Dodd and Senator Mark Warner along with other state contests.
I am currently Chairman of the Board of Assessment Appeals and serve on the Harbor Commission. My interests are boating, fishing, lobstering and playing golf.  I am a member of the Black Hall Club.  My main enjoyment is spending time with my wife, 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren, all of whom reside in CT.
