Doctoral Coursework - Psychology, Boston College

Why are you running for office?
I am running for Board of Finance Alternate because in this time of cost of living stress, I ask the voters for the opportunity to apply my past Connecticut Town Committee, UPS management and Business Consulting experiences to protect our town's financial future.
Bio and Qualifications
I had a 30-yr career working for UPS, followed by 15 years business consulting to Fortune 100 companies.  During my time at UPS I was a Manager -State, Regional, Europe, Corporate and International. My 30 years of cost-focused United Parcel Service management will enable me to review our town budgets effectively. UPS was successful because we managed costs to the penny per hour.  My years of building and evaluating many types of budgets, especially for “not-for- profits” with limited revenues, will hopefully assure taxpayers that their dollars are spent conservatively and effectively. I will think of every taxpayer when I make decisions.
What’s your favorite place in Old Lyme?
Walking along historical downtown Old Lyme envisioning the patriots that gave us liberty at all costs.

What is something not many people know about you?
Madeline, my spouse, and I have attended Vent Haven, the Annual International Ventriloquists Convention.

What is your favorite book?
"Empire of Pain" The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty - Patrick Radden Keefe

Volunteer Activities
Past Advisor to Government Agencies Board of Trustees National Safety Council Board Chair of Network of Employers for Traffic Safety
Deep River Planning and Zoning, past chair Board of Directors Hammocks HOA Clinton, CT

What do you want voters to know about you?
My experience on CT Town Committees has taught me that really listening to the viewpoints of others enables collaboration. I will think about every taxpayer when making decisions.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Genealogy has been my passion for 25 years.
