Education
BS Chemistry, Bates College MS Healthcare Leadership, Dartmouth College Experience I have a master's degree in health policy, focused on improving health through legislative action, I have picked apart health system budgets to understand key drivers and which budget items present risks. I have spent 13 years managing projects with multi-million dollar budgets in clinical research. Why should someone vote for you? I'm not afraid to ask questions; I feel a deep responsibility to taxpayers to ensure I understand where and why their money is being spent. Why are you running for this office and what do you hope to accomplish while in office?
I am running for re-election to the Board of Finance; I have served on this board for the last 4 years. I believe in making sure that every tax dollar is used in a way that is valuable to the town, to me that means adequately planning for expected projects, budgeting to do projects right the first time, saving an adequate amount for rainy days and to maintain our superb bond-rating, and sending funds back to the taxpayers once we have accomplished those goals. I hope to continue advocating for sound fiscal policy to keep the town in the strong position we're already in. What is your favorite place in Old Lyme and what is your favorite thing to do in Old Lyme?
In the summer you can find me at the beach, but I also love all the trails around town and love to go on hikes with my family and dogs. |
