Devin Berke | Board of Assessment Appeals
|
Education BSBA Accounting, Western New England University What inspired you to run for local office? I am running for Board of Assessment Appeals because the property revaluations in town often present anxious times as residents await the new town budget and mill rates. I want to make sure that the appeals process is unbiased, informative and that the decisions are made as a direct result of the evidence presented at each appeal. |

Bio and Qualifications
My career has included Public Account, Assistant Controller (Fortune 500), Owner- residential and commercial construction, Project Manager/Sr. PM (Heavy Civil Construction for Private Utilities and municipalities), General Manager - Construction for national specialty services. My career in public accounting, residential and commercial construction and construction management, along with a passion for those who selflessly serve their community have prepared me to step up from the Alternate position to a full voting seat on the Board of Assessment Appeals. Why should someone vote for you?
Because I will serve our community, not as a part of local political cronyism, but as a newer community member invested in our towns political health and the democratic process. What’s your favorite place in Old Lyme?
Champlain North & South Open Spaces for hiking and Great Island boat launch for sea doo access. |
