Shoemaker Best for Old Lyme's Future

To the Editor:
There are many reasons why I will be voting for Martha Shoemaker for First Selectman of Old Lyme Nov. 7, not the least of which is that after serving with her on numerous civic posts and knowing her for over 20 years, I trust her. Martha has served the town as Selectwoman for two years and has a demonstrable public record of bipartisan, thoughtful, common-sense, decision-making. She is engaged and she responds to people. Old Lyme residents deserve a First Selectwoman who respects what makes our community a special place to call home and who has the qualifications and experience needed to lead this town forward. Martha Shoemaker is uniquely prepared to be the next First Selectwoman of Old Lyme.
