What’s your favorite place in Old Lyme?
Rogers Lake. I enjoy the views, boating, swimming, and the overall beauty of the lake. Many of the residents around the lake are very friendly and welcoming. |
What is something you learned in the last week?
I have learned quite a bit as a member of the Education Department at Mystic Seaport in the area of maritime history including 19th century whaling and a variety of marine science topics. What is most interesting was the amount of diversity among the people who worked to support the whaling industry and the contributions made by a variety of races and ethnicities. It is fascinating to learn topics that are completely outside of my areas of expertise and to become so comfortable with the material that I can teach them to others. |
